Room 401 – Untitled – Nivi Alroy

  Joining the other 4 rooms in the ongoing “The Room is On Fire” project at Artplus Hotel is room 401 with artwork by Nivi Alroy. All the pieces in Alroy’s work are made out of wood and the images were carved into the wood with small knives.  In addition, all the images in the artwork are architecture buildings surrounding the hotel. Room 201 – Untitled – Elad Kopler

  Another one of the rooms included in the ongoing “The Room is on Fire” project at Artplus Hotel is the piece ‘untitled’ in room 201 by artist Elad Kopler. A strip made of pink synthetic fur on the wall leads those entering the room to the artwork.  Mixing humor into this piece he uses the pink fur to create the form of a television set as the center of the art piece, which leads the viewers imagination to the world of children’s play rooms. ‘Simple Messages’ room 107 Yochai Mato...

  In this guest room, icluded in the ongoing project “The Room is on Fire” at Artplus Hotel, the work of artist  Yochai Matos is featured. The peice entitled ‘‘simple messages’ is a sculptural light installation  in the shapre of a heart and is made from some twenty neon tubes. Today the heart is a graphic sign which has become cliché, a brand name an icon. But by introducing it as a work of art Matos explores the meaning of its power in order to invoke diverse responses from the audience.
