Another one of the rooms included in the ongoing “The Room is on Fire” project at Artplus Hotel is the piece ‘untitled’ in room 201 by artist Elad Kopler. A strip made of pink synthetic fur on the wall leads those entering the room to the artwork. Mixing humor into this piece he uses the pink fur to create the form of a television set as the center of the art piece, which leads the viewers imagination to the world of children’s play rooms. In this guest room, icluded in the ongoing project “The Room is on Fire” at Artplus Hotel, the work of artist Yochai Matos is featured. The peice entitled ‘‘simple messages’ is a sculptural light installation in the shapre of a heart and is made from some twenty neon tubes. Today the heart is a graphic sign which has become cliché, a brand name an icon. Included in the Artplus Hotel “The Room is on Fire” project is this guest room by artist Leav Misrahi. In this room the artist put images on different walls of the guest room. These images include a tree, house, deer and fox. At first glance the room may look like that of a child’s. From far away the images look to be hand drawn, but when looked upon closer one can see that the images are created from staples. Part of “The Room is on Fire” project at Artplus Hotel Tel Aviv, room 310 contains an art peice by artist Yonatan Herschfeild. The idea being expressed in this fresco painting “Isabelle” is that of Sinner/Saint. In the painting, which hangs from the ceiling of the room, you will see the figure of the Holy Maria going up to heaven, yet you can also images of dogs and that of another woman, Isabelle. It is stated in the bible that Isabelle was thrown to the dogs because of her religious beliefs and was thus cast as a sinner.
